बहव: ज्ञान तपसा पूता… ज्ञान बहुत बड़ी तपस्या है!
 कुछ भी हो रहा हो पर तुम्हें कुछ नहीं होना जैसे हो वैसा ही माने रहना। मनरे की गति कहीं न जाए!  यदि आप स्वीकार करो कि यह हो रहा है पर मैं चेतन हूँ! यह होता मुझे मालूम पड़ रहा है, इस होने को मैं देखता हूं, इस होने का मैं साक्षी हूं! पर साक्षी ही तो हम नहीं रह पाते। तुरंत मिल जाते हैं, तुरंत हम नदी में बहने लगते हैं। किनारे बैठे बैठे ही हम बह जाते हैं। हम किनारे बैठे भी हैं पर हम बैठे हैं किनारे यह हमें ख्याल नहीं रहता। हम बहने लग जाते हैं। हम साक्षी नहीं रह पाते ।साक्षी होते हुए भी हम साक्षी है यह ख्याल नहीं रहा जिससे हम  दुखी हो गए, बदल गए। हम कुछ ना कुछ होते ही रहते हैं, ज्यों के त्यों नहीं रहते।  हम है ज्यों के त्यों  पर रह नहीं पाते, क्यों??? क्योंकि विचारों से मोहित हो गए ,सम्मोहित हो गए। इसलिए कह रहे थे…
मोह निशा सब सोवन हारा देखें स्वप्न अनेक प्रकारा ।। 

अनेक तरह के सपने देखते हैं कि यह हो गया, वह हो गया, ऐसे हो जाए, वह ना हो जाए, यही चुनाव करते रहते हैं पर हम हैं अविकारी। यह आत्मा कभी नहीं पैदा होता। 
न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचिन् और………. आप किस लिए आए हो? आत्मा का जन्म मरण बंद करने के लिए? गीता क्या कहती है ? कभी नहीं जन्म लिया, आज तक नहीं जन्म दिया।
न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचिन्नायं भूत्वा भविता वा न भूय: । अजो नित्य: शाश्वतोयं पुराणो
यह नित्य है, अज है, जरा भी कुछ नहीं होती पर यह ख्याल तुमको बनाते ही रहते हैं, यह हो गया वह हो गया। जैसे स्वप्न में ख्याल ही तो थे वहां और क्या था? तो तुम उसी को सपना समझते हो? अभी जो कुछ होता दिख रहा है यह भी सपना ही है ।और……. जनक का क्या प्रश्न है? इतनी ही तो कथा है जनक की! राजा जनक पर स्वप्न में दूसरे राजा ने चढ़ाई की तो अपने घर से कूद के छिपके भागे। तीन दिन भागते भागते बहुत थक गए। भूख लगी तो कहीं खिचड़ी बट रही थी। बिचारों ने लाइन में लगकर खिचड़ी ली और खिचड़ी लेकर खाने ही वाले थे कि दो सांड लड़के टकराए तो धक्के से खिचड़ी भी गई और चोट भी लग गई। जनक की नींद खुल गई। जब नींद खुली तो अपने राजभवन में थे। पहरदार  सब खड़े, कहीं कोई गड़बड़ नहीं थी। तो प्रश्न उठा वह सच है कि यह सच है? अभी जो देख रहा था वह सच है कि अभी जो देख रहा हूं यह सच है? पर इतने के लिए कितनी झंझटे हुई! अभी अपने को क्या लगता है वह तो सपना था यह सच है। रात को जो दिखा था वह सपना था और यह जो देख रहे हैं यह सच है, पर जनक को क्या पता चला कि ना वह सच है ना यह सच है। वह भी सपना है और यह भी सपना है। उसका भी दृष्टा मैं ही हूं इसका भी दृष्टा मैं ही हूं। और सुबह तो सपनों को मैं रोज जागकर समझ लेता हूं। उसको झूठ देखकर इसको सच देखता हूं। पर इसको आप कब समझेंगे कि यह सपना है? इसलिए जनक का यही तो सवाल है कि वह सच है कि यह सच है? जो रात को हुआ था यह सच नहीं है यह जनक को भी मालूम था। इतना मूर्ख तो नहीं रहे होंगे जनक। पर उनका प्रश्न यह है कि उसे भी मैंने देखा और इसे भी मैं देख रहा हूं तो यह सच लगता है और वह सब झूठा लगता है। सपने में सच लगता था पर जागकर झूठ लगता है। पर यह जागृत आज तक झूठा नहीं लगा, आज तक सपना नहीं लगा। यह केवल ख्याल है। आवागमन, जन्म मरण यह सब ख्याल है चैतन्य में आज तक हमें समझ नहीं आया पर जनक को समझ आया और इस प्रश्न का हल अष्टावक्र के द्वारा हुआ । आप कभी जागृत में  भी सोचो कि मुझ चेतन के अतिरिक्त सब सपना है। जगना सपना है, सपना सपना है, सुषुप्ति सपना है। हाँ! सुषुप्ति भी सपना ही है, सपना भी सपना ही है जागृत भी सपना ही है। केवल चैतन्य है! सोचो! विचार करो ! जागो तो विचार, सोए तो विचार खाओ तो विचार, बोलो तो विचार ,जो कुछ करो विचार, यही पूजा, यही आचार। यही  सबसे बड़ी पूजा है, सबसे बड़ा आचार है इसलिए बार बार विचार करो ।
