खैर, मेरा विषय है कि गर्मी पानी का स्वभाव नहीं है। वह आग का है। ऐसे ही मृत्यु, परिवर्तन आपका स्वभाव नहीं हैं। यह प्रकृति का है। प्रकृति और आपका स्वभाव एक हुए लगते हैं। न होने पर भी ये एकाकार हो जाते हैं। इसी को तादात्म्य कहते हैं। जब ये एकाकार हो गए तो अनित्य वस्तु से भी तुम्हें जीवन लगने लगा जैसे,  मिट्टी को घड़ा होने से अपना जीवन लगे।
क्या सचमुच मिट्टी घड़ा होने से जी रही है ?  घड़ा  न हो तो क्या वह  मर जाएगी? मिट्टी को घड़ा जीवन लगा जबकि वह मौत है। अपने को मरने वाले से एक कर लिया और फिर बचने की इच्छा। क्यों बचने की इच्छा है?  क्योंकि उसके स्वभाव में मृत्यु है नहीं। इसलिए मृत्यु पसंद नहीं है और मृत्यु होती भी नहीं है पर मरने वाले से जुड़कर मरना स्वीकार कर, अंदर जो छिपा स्वभाव है- बचे रहने का, वह लड़ रहे हैं।
तो  विवेक द्वारा यह समझ लें कि अनित्य क्या है?  अनित्य को नित्य बनाने की चेष्टा न करें । विवेक हो जाए तो फिर अनित्य से, अनात्मा से, अशुचि से, दुःख रूपी वस्तुओं से वैराग्य हो जाए। यह समझ लें कि शरीर दुःख है, सुख नहीं है। इसको आध्यात्मिक लोग अविद्या कहते हैं। अविद्या के कारण अशुचि में शुचि बुद्धि, अनात्मा में आत्म बुद्धि, अनित्य में नित्य बुद्धि, जो नहीं है उसमें ‘है’ बुद्धि और है का पता ही नहीं है जैसे, घड़ा है। तो घड़े होने में तो है बुद्धि हो गई और मिट्टी के होने का पता ही नहीं।
